This class..

Wow..... I can not believe this quarter is almost over because to me it seems like we just started this quarter a couple weeks ago. To be honest, I really thought this was going to be along quarter because this class involves a lot of technology usage and I am the worst person with computers and all the other gadgets. I was completely wrong because I can say I improved my technology skills because I completed all our require assignments. I guess in the past, I never really took my time using a camcorder or digital recorder and know I can safely say I know how to use it and use other functions on it. In this class I learned that their are so many free resources we can use in this world and we just need to take the time to find it. This class thought me how to think outside the box and no matter how crazy the idea is it is always possible. After reading The Novels and Threes lines it made me realized that it is normal to see strange news because this is life and s*#t happens. Weird and crazy stuff always happens everyday in this world and it is up to us to find out about it. But in really it depends on the certain indivdual if they want to think out side the box and find new things in life.

My thoughts on our group presentation

I thought our group presentation was great because everything went as plan but better. When our group was presenting, I notice that the unthinkable really can happen in our everyday life. For example, it is common sense to not go to the zoo and try to hug any animal locked up in a cage and as for the Chinese student in China it was a different story. When you really think about it, life is really crazy and we can see in on the news, TV or online but it depends on how the certain individual really have to sit down and analyze what they see. I also thought all of the groups did an extremely well on acting out their scenes and they were creative too. I was surprise when Stacy’s actually made her own rap song for scene and thought Amy is a hell of a singer! The only thing I was worried about was if Megan was really about to run me over because we never actually practiced with her car driving by. Overall, I thought this group was fantastic because everyone was so open to each others idea's to make it work for a group of 10.

Synecdoche, NY

I went to go watch Synecdoche, NY last night at 9:45 and I thought the movie was interesting because it was original and I had never seen a film with this type of scenario and content before. To me the film was a little too long and it had too many things going on at the same time for me to remember but other than that I thought it was great. In this film you have to pay close attention to understand the story. For example, in the beginning of the film, there was a tall white man wearing a suit standing outside of Caden’s house and at first I wondering who he was. Towards the middle of the film the same guy who was standing outside Caden’s house, reappeared to audition to play Caden himself for his play. I thought that was kind of creepy because to me I thought he was a stalker or something because he portrayed Caden’s character so well. Caden was so obsessed to make his play as realistic as possible that he basically forgot what was important to him which was his own life. What caught my attention was the house that was always on fire and it seemed normal to Caden and that girl that bought the house. Was there a purpose for the house to be on fire? I thought it was funny when I saw Caden’s therapist’s feet because she had a really bad rash or bruise. For some odd reason I started to think about how in reality when someone has a bruise or rash that bad, they traditionally would cover their feet and it made me think about what was the point of that. Overall, I thought the film was fun and interesting and if I understood the movie correctly, the moral of the film is to just live your life and don’t be afraid of change because life is short. Also, I think the movie title is called Synecdoche, NY because Caden moved to New York to pursue Broadway to and a bigger audience.

Art of Graffiti Removal

After watching this film I thought it was interesting to see how some people look at graffiti removal as part of the graffiti movement. I can understand why people may think graffiti removal as art but to me I think it is the complete opposite because to the best of my knowledge graffiti removal is meant to block or destroy the artist art piece. I really do understand that the artist is trying to show their artwork in public but they also have to understand that their vandalizing public or private property and the owner or the city is blocking the artist creative expression because they do not want there. Overall, I thought the movie was great because it showed two sides of the stories and it really depends on the certain individual to be the judge base on their everyday life experience. For example, if a certain individual is familiar with graffiti they are going know and understand this situation as for a person with no knowledge of this subject they might just see it as cleaning up another mess.

Thinking about group 3's project.....

I thought group 3's presentation was interesting because it made me think about what is really important to me and have to start cherishing in life more. For example, just this past summer, my dad had a major heart attack. When his work place called my mom and said my dad was not feeling so well, they suggested we should go pick him up. My mom and I went to go pick him and when he got in the car, I really didn’t notice much and I thought he was just sick or something but my mom knew something was wrong. So my mom said drive him to the hospital but my dad was refusing because he thought he was just dizzy and he just wanted to go home and sleep it off. I was telling my mom he’s okay and we should just listen to him and take him home but then my mom started to notice that my dad was turning pale and then she grabbed my dads hand and asked if he was okay. Suddenly my mom said take him to the hospital right now because his hands were cold and I reached over to touch his hands and it was ice cold and then I started to get really worried. As I was driving and freaking out, I had an option to go on the freeway because I was right by it but for some odd reason I decided to go locally and when I drove past the freeway entrance, I took a quick glance and saw dead stop traffic on the freeway. Luckily my mom was in the car and I didn’t take the freeway because my dad would have not made it. When we immediately arrived to the hospital, my dad had two heart attacks and could have died if we didn't go to the hospital right away. In relation with group 3's project, I should stop and smell the roses because sometime I tend to take my family for granted because I would always think nothing would ever happen to them but in reality anything can happen in a heart beat. Life is Crazy and it goes by FAST and from now on I am going to try to appreciate all the things in my life before it passes right by me. Though I wished my dad never experience his heart attack but to me I think everything happens for a reason because my dad started to value life more by quit smoking cigarettes and exercising more.

friends....

Wow…… I have the worst hangover ever and I can’t believe I’m up because I just came home like five hours ago but I have always been an earlybird anyways. I haven’t gone out for months and the reason why I went out was because it was one of my good friends birthday. I realized that as you get older, you really don’t have the time to hangout with friends like before because everybody have different schedules and priorities. This was the first time that all my friends and I, have been together since our last trip to Vegas in June and even though we haven’t seen each other it seem like we haven’t miss a beat. The reason why I said we haven’t miss a beat is because I thought it would be kind of weird seeing all my friends together because we haven’t all hung out for awhile but I was wrong because we all grew up together and there would always be that chemistry between us

Graffiti!!!!

When I was driving home last night, I noticed that someone sprayed graffiti on a wall of a store next to my house and it reminded me about group 2’s presentation. To me I think when someone graffiti’s in a public place, it is because they want people to see their piece or they want to represent their crew or themselves to a public place. I was one of the person that answered “no” I don’t mind if I see graffiti in a bus stop and “yes” I do mind if it’s in my neighborhood. To be honest I don’t mind seeing graffiti at a bus stop because it’s not my property and it’s typical to see this kind of things in a public place. As for my neighborhood, I would mind because I guess it’s out of the norm and when I do see graffiti it’s always at the store but to the best of my knowledge it’s the only second time that happened. If I lived in downtown Seattle or something I wouldn’t mind because its normal to see graffiti in the city and I guess it really do depends on where you are at because some places it’s considered natural and some places don’t but it really depends on the certain individual to decide on that.
This is not really related but I thought this was a cool graffiti of Tupac that payed tribute to the legendary rapper after his death.
